Mathematics: 2019, not 2026
The new mathematics programs published in 2026 only apply in terminale starting in the 2027-2028 school year. In 2026-2027, the reference remains the 2019 programs, and this applies to the three concerned teachings: the mathematics specialty, advanced mathematics, and complementary mathematics.
Limited program: an addition, not a replacement
In arts, LLCER, and ancient languages and cultures, a limited program is published each year: a list of works, themes, or study objects for the current year. It specifies what certain assignments will focus on, but it never replaces the structural program of the discipline.
The scope of an exam does not reduce the program
This is the second classic misunderstanding. When the scope of a baccalaureate exam is published, it indicates what may appear on the exam — not what remains to be learned. The annual program remains intact: a concept excluded from the exam can be worked on and assessed during the year, and it often serves as a basis for those that follow.
The right revision method in terminale
- Start from the official program of your specialty, not from a collection of past exams: past exams cover what has appeared, not what is required.
- Treat the limited program as an additional block, separate, with its own schedule.
- Always check the publication year of a math resource: two programs coexist in bookstores this year.
