Terms of Use

This document is a courtesy translation. In case of discrepancy, only the French version is authoritative, as the service is provided from France and subject to French law.

1. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern the access and use of the Looping service. Creating an account constitutes full and complete acceptance. They are supplemented by the General Terms and Conditions of Sale for the paid part, and the Privacy Policy for data processing.

2. Who can open an account

The account is opened by an adult, holding parental authority over the registered students or duly authorized by them. By creating student profiles, the account holder declares having this authority and consents, for their children, to the processing described in the Privacy Policy.

A teacher can open an account to create classes. They then only see the first name, level, and results of the activities they assign, excluding any family data.

3. Student accounts

• Each student has a personal login code, issued and revocable at any time by the parent.
• The parent can suspend, rename, or delete a student profile, and regenerate its code.
• The parent sets the framework for AI usage: authorized activities, daily limit, time slot.
• The parent has access to the student's activity, results, and interactions with the AI.

4. Fair Use

The user agrees to use Looping in accordance with its educational purpose. The following are prohibited: sharing an account between multiple households, reselling or providing access, automated content extraction, any attempt to bypass technical limitations, and using the service to produce illegal, hateful, or degrading content.

Documents imported by the student or parent to generate a quiz must be legal and not infringe on third-party rights. The user remains responsible for the content they transmit.

5. Artificial Intelligence: What the Service Does and Does Not Do

• The AI proceeds through questions and hints; it does not provide the answer to an exercise in place of the student.
• The content is framed by the official curriculum of the relevant level and does not intentionally exceed it.
• The AI can make mistakes. Any correction can be challenged from the student space and re-examined.
• The AI is not an emotional interlocutor: it does not simulate any bond and directs to a trusted adult if a child expresses distress.
• Looping is not an official evaluation system and does not issue any diplomas or certifications.

6. Availability

UNYX implements reasonable means to ensure the availability of the service, without guaranteeing uninterrupted operation. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, or due to a third-party provider. UNYX strives to announce scheduled interruptions in advance.

7. Suspension and Termination

UNYX may suspend or close an account in case of serious breach of these conditions, after informing the user, except in cases of urgency or manifest illegality. The account holder can delete their account at any time from their space; deletion results in the erasure of student profiles and associated data, subject to legal retention obligations.

8. Changes to the Conditions

UNYX may change these conditions. Any substantial modification is notified by email or upon login, at least fifteen days before it takes effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance; otherwise, the user may terminate without charge.

9. Applicable Law

French law. In case of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought as a priority; the consumer can use consumer mediation free of charge (see the Withdrawal and Mediation page).
